The Quivering Quill respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), we will respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the DMCA and other applicable laws.
1. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you are a copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe that content on our Service infringes your copyright, please submit a written notification including the following information (pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (URL or direct link).
Your contact information, including your name, address, phone number, and email.
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

2. Counter-Notification
If you believe that your content was removed (or access to it was disabled) by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. It must include:
Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled, and the location where it appeared before removal.
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Federal District Court in the district where you reside, or if outside the U.S., then in the Southern District of Indiana, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice or their agent.

3. Repeat Infringer Policy
The Quivering Quill may terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

Filing a false DMCA notice or counter-notification may have legal consequences. Please consult a legal advisor before submitting a claim.
